Notes & Combos

I was initially going to try and get Master 1 with Flame Swordsman Infernoble. That deck feels really good into Tenpai, but it really struggles going second into the other decks that try to combo super hard going first that people are playing because of Tenpai. Melodious, on the other hand, gets to play some crazy nonengine, including the powerful Herald of Orange Light, while still making through hand traps a board that Tenpai fears. Before playing the deck, I was underestimating the endboard, which is only 2 disruptions (grave banish and bouncing boaradwipe) plus protection. But the protection makes all the difference. Because the opponent has to put so much effort into even putting a dent in your board, you can wait much longer than any other deck before you're forced to use any disruption, meaning you can almost always wait for the good chokepoints. As for grindy matchups, even though Etoile is only a bounce, which means you don't hurt their follow-up, Shuberta carries in those as the mini Soul Release can after a couple of uses destroy most grindy engines.

Anyway Konami PLEEEAAASE Orange Light to 3.
