Notes & Combos

Found a lot more success using Voiceless Voice this season. Being able to loop ritual Sauravis is especially powerful against even some of the other meta decks in the current format. If you want to do so:

  • Dragon mage Sauravis, Blessings and Lo need to be on the field for this to work.
  • Summon ritual Sauravis the first time with dragon mage's effect. Negate the first important ED summon.
  • Summon it from the hand the second time with Blessings' effect if the opponent summons again AND you see that they are preparing to summon a monster from the ED (not through an effect, of course). Negate another one of their important ED summons.
  • Ideally, Skull Guardian and Barrier are needed for protection (tho this should be obvious to anyone playing the deck at this point).

Some other things worth noting:

  • Please do NOT attempt to summon Dyna Mondo as your Turn 1 play unless if you somehow safely secure it (some specific setup with Radiance and/or Pendulumgraph). Otherwise, just leave Skull Guardian and Lo on the field. Not worth it to either get hit with Called By, D.D. Crow, or a Bystial.
  • Nadir + Maximus is a net positive for the deck, but is also somewhat of a double edged sword, depending on what your opponent plays. If it's something like a Tearlaments deck, then it becomes a pretty risky move. Otherwise, still a worthy extender and Nadir can even force out Ash Blossom.
  • This is probably the only deck where I had the most success with using TY-PHON (still rarely used, but helpful). Helps get over prominent ED monsters such as Terahertz and Baronne.
  • I chose to run Veiler over Gamma to reduce the number of bricks in my opening hands. The deck can still brick at times, but definitely less so without Gamma.

Overall, a very fun but deceptively complex deck.
