Notes & Combos
The deck is basically from the guy who killed you (only replaced Slacker Magician with Nightingale) - so huge shoutout to him - and I played it from Master 3 to 1. You can find how the Turn Skip combo works on his deck's MDM page or in my YT video linked below.

I finally tested Turn Skip Drytron in MD and here are my takeaways and critique:
- It is a solid, but boring variant. The engine is only consisting of the minimum needed to function and sometimes I was missing some (extended) engine pieces I usually run myself. It is not a particularly resilient Drytron list either (still resilient enough though). Even if I decided to play Turn Skip again, I would swap some things.
- Skipping turns rarely happens. Expected, but just like in my own Drytron lists before, going "full combo" is not the common outcome.
- In every non-turnskip game, the deck plays like a usual Drytron deck (duh). Having run rel. less cards in my deck this month and staples like Called By or Maxx C made life easier sometimes.
- I was neither a fan of the deck size, nor of Maxx C though. While playing 60 is unneeded, I would probably consider upping the deck count slightly. The deck ran few techs and many names, which meant this deck was consistent in a way: consistently good vs some, consistently bad vs other matchups. I do not like that in a BO1 format like MD. But this way, you are almost guaranteed to eventually get top rank with enough games.
- Thus, it makes sense that my win rate was mediocre with this list. The climb was not that quick. Huge positive: I never went on a huge losing streak.
- While this variant is cute, I do not see many distinct advantages of it over others. With Thrust, this statement might change. I would probably still recommend playing cards that are generally good, unlike Thunder. You do not need to skip turns to win going first. Going second, you wish for other cards.
Note: The format is going to change one day after this write-up! I wanted to get the climb in before Kash gets support.
