Notes & Combos

The primary game plan of this deck going first is to set up Archnemeses Eschatos, gain knowledge on what the opponent is playing, and call the most impactful type with Eschatos. Eschatos over Protos due to the prevalance of Tenpai. Eschatos is always able to call dragon against them while you have to set up a fire monster yourself for Protos. This is relevant if you are unable to OTK your opponent on turn 3 and need to buy yourself another turn. I use a 1 card combo using Pegasus as the starter to summon Click & Echo to look at the opponent's hand before you declare with Eschatos. The combo goes like this:

  1. Summon Pegasus, place CBRD, and use it to summon Eagle.
  2. Xyz into Banshee. Search Flag.
  3. Return the banished CBRD to summon Flag. Search Eschatos.
  4. Link off Banshee and Flag for Spright Elf. Summon back the Flag.
  5. Banish Pegasus, Eagle, and Banshee to summon Eschatos under the extra monster zone. Since you control a pyro monster, you can summon Banshee back when it's banished. If you have random hand-traps in the GY, prioritize banishing those before the CBs.
  6. Xyz into Gigantic Spright using Elf and Flag. Use effect so summon Click & Echo from deck.
  7. Link off Click & Echo and Banshee for Reprodocus. Summon it in front of Eschatos. Click & Echo special summons itself to the opponent's field and reveals their hand as long as it's there.
  8. Using the info you gain from seeing the opponent's hand, use Reproducus to change the type of Eschatos accordingly. Use Eschatos to declare that type.
  9. If you didn't declare warrior with Eschatos, link off Reprodocus with Gigantic Spright for S:P. Then, if it is beneficial for you to keep Click & Echo on the opponent's field (Imperm, Lightning Storm, Evenly, etc), let them keep it. Otherwise, you can banish it with S:P.

This combo is often enough to win games on it's own. If you open the Horus engine, summon Photon Lord to insulate the combo from a potential hand trap and it will be another form of interaction on the opponent's turn. I play 2 copies of Eagle because I still want to be able to summon Overdrive on the follow-up and I don't want to have a name permanently banished. I could play Cat instead of a second Eagle, but I prefer having more level 4's so Golden Rule + a level 4 CB is combo.
