Notes & Combos

Not that hard of a climb, Tenpai is the deck I've faced the most and it's a manageable duel. The counter traps were usually enough to stop their board breakers, but if I had to change something I'd probably add either Anti-Spell Fragrance or Lord of the Heavenly Prison to be safer.

Only two copies of Diplos because it sucks having him on your opening hand. He's only okay as a starter if you already have Domain in hand (to send Frenzy for Kentregina). I wish the deck had some other good main deck monster.

Fossil Dig is here for more consistency. It's not even once per turn so if you have two copies you can search both Therizia and Misc.

I'm pretty satisfied with Wannabee, it's like another pot. It was also helpful going second against some decks since it could dig some board breakers like Iron Thunder.

Speaking of Iron Thunder. I've noticed that most players use their spells on columns where you have no set cards since they're used to play around Infinite Impermanence. So, it's better not to place your monsters in front of them just in case.

Iron Thunder is a pretty good card. You can even negate your own card to use its poping effect which is useful against Stun/Stall decks.

The Z-Arc package works well against Tenpai too, they have a hard time dealing with an unaffected by monsters Crystal Clear with 5k+ ATK. They usually need the ATK boosting effect of their field spell (that Crystal Clear can negate)

I’ve used every monster in the Extra Deck at least once, but Laggia and Starving Demon have been the least useful. You could replace them with more copies of Dinomorphia fusion monsters. I mostly used Starving Demon as a material for S:P to get her banishing effect since I wanted to keep Brave-Eyes and Crystal Clear.

TY-PHON is really good in this deck. At worst, he can deal with one interruption, and his no-summon restriction isn't a big issue since you'll be summoning on the following turn anyway.
