Notes & Combos
Hey everyone!
I've seen a few other lists from my fellow Goblin Bikers, I'm just going to explain why mine looks a little different. I made a lot of choices in order to play as many Goblin names as possible. I like the little guys. Sue me.
3 Mean Merciless: I see a lot of lists with 1 Mean Merciless and 3 Dugs. Here's my thing: This list runs 9 goblin names (12 if you count Grand Entrance, which I do). The odds you see Mean Merciless/Grand Entrance + 1 other goblin name is really high, and if you open the speedroid package you can Gabonga search for her or another name depending on what you have in hand. If you have two goblins in hand, she becomes the deck's best normal summon.
The Entire Spell-Trap Line Up: Again, I want to play Goblin cards in my Goblin deck. Luckily, the Goblin spell-traps are really good:
- Goblin Biker Grand Entrance: An extender if you have an XYZ monster on the field, and can search you Mean Merciless if you open any other name. Not as good as you think it is. It only summons if you can detach from an Xyz Monster. I wouldn't hate bringing this to 1, but it's fine at 3.
- Goblin Biker Grand Bash: If you Dug Charger in your hand + 1 other name that's not Merciless, you have to search this card to start your play with the extra normal. Feels fine to open it as well; it fixes certain hands, and the ATK buff is non-negligable for easy OTKs.
- Goblin Biker Grand Stampede: A trap that's kind of oddly placed this meta. Continuous traps do nothing into Tenpai (lightning storm / harpy's first action), and while the negate is nice (and it procs a detach from Gabonga), I think I've seen it go off once total in my climb. The card I'm closest to cutting.
- Goblin Biker Grand Pileup: Best card in the deck. I find myself so glad to have it: fast-XYZ'ing on your opponents turn into Crazy Beast to protect against Raigeki or Lightning Storm feels great, and the spell-trap suck helps against Tenpai's feild spell, Yubel's continuous spells, and Labrynth set-5's. It's graveyard effect can mess with Tenpai's OTK lines by stealing a guy from their GY as they try to revive it.
Otherwise, I feel like my list isn't too different from everyone else's. Put in other engines if you want, sling 60 if you want; these are the ratios that let me have the most Goblins-per-card-in-deck.
Happy Biking!
