Notes & Combos
Notable Changes From Season 32
Played Ogres over 2 Nib and Packbit over Aggregator. Ideally, I'd have space for both Packbit and Aggregator but that's the downside of playing S:P & I:P. Overall same concept as the previous seasons:

Retiring this build, but wanted to give it one last run since I didn't get Master 1 in Season 33. Tenpai is barely considered in this build even though that deck had a huge influence on the meta. Some reasons why I would not bring this build into Tenpai:
- Tenpai makes you go first more often, so the need to play 18 handtraps to offset the going 2nd disadvantage is reduced.
- The S:P / I:P combo and Terahertz is difficult for Tenpai to beat. Playing more engine over handtraps improves the chance of establishing this board through their handtraps. No need to get into handtrap wars with Tenpai if they stop your plays with their handtraps.
- With the exception of Gamma, we lose out on handtrap wars anyway. Veiler / Imperm / Nib trade poorly into Tenpai when you can't establish a board.
You still want to play Ash (beats last card Sangen Kaimen), Veiler (vs Paidra / Black Rose), Gamma (beats last card Chundra if they Black Rose you successfully) when you go first since they improve your odds of winning against Droplet and Red Reboot. Ogre was OK - sometimes removing the field spell is strong but they can have enough engine to not activate it. Crow/Belle might be better but one for ones vs the deck after the have more than one Tenpai in BP don't feel good. Not playing Defenser is a missed opportunity since the option to send it with Terahertz or passively blank Dark Hole, Raigeki, and Black Rose can preserve your Terahertz interruptions.
Matchup Breakdown (150 Duels; 76 Heads, 74 Tails)
Due to Tenpai's influence: 101 1st, 49 2nd
- 52 Tenpai (34.7%, W/R = 58%)
- 10 Tearlament (6.7%, W/R = 80%)
- 10 VoVo (6.7%, W/R = 40%)
Insane representation for Tenpai, 35% of the field. The highest I've ever experienced was Tearlaments at 40%. This deck doesn't scream Tier 0 since after adapting to Tenpai, its a manageable matchup. Gatchiri is a popular strategy but I think I:P & S:P is also a strong candidate since it brute forces through Droplets and is good vs other matchups.
