Notes & Combos
I might've gotten Master I in fewer games than my climb to Master V. Ironically, I think I spent more time in Solo practicing my lines than in actual Ranked. Overall, pretty happy with how this deck performed in ladder especially against Free-npai.
For card choices, I ended up cutting Prosperity for another copy of Inheritance to reliably fetch for a Beast in case I open with two Tamers. Noticed people only ran 1 copy of Nib so I ended up cutting Link Spider for Lightning Chidori (cool name btw) which was really good in simplifying board states on my 2nd turn. I'm thinking of cutting Imperms for Book of Eclipse and TTT for Crossout to have more protection against the roach - will test that out in Rating Duels.
It's pretty much known now that this deck is difficult to pilot. I really recommend watching guides on Youtube if you want to start playing this deck effectively. Anyways, here are some tips to hopefully help y'all get started:
- Keep track of the monsters you've special summoned already.
- Make sure you have a beast and a tamer in your banishment if you're going to Ulti-Cannahawk Tuah loop.
- I personally save ETELE to extend if my starters get handtrapped. Your usual combo routes are generally strong enough to stop your opponent from establishing a threatening board.
- Your combos generally want you to end on your floodgates i.e. Colossus and/or Protos. This means you want to summon Banshee to fetch Flag and tutor Corridor or Protos. So if you get lost or mess up your combo, try to find a way to at least put out two level four monsters to XYZ into Banshee.
- Don't be afraid to shifter on your turn, once it resolves it prevents Droll, Veiler, and Maxx C from being activated.
- Your Spiritual Beast's effects (aside from SBTL) are not hard once per turn. Take advantage of this to put more of your monsters into rotation. Activating Apelio's effect more than once for example is useful for finding the OTK on your 2nd turn.
- Practice. Your. Combos. So. You. Don't. End. On. S. P. :)))

Showcasing combos, some through disruption. Still working on playing out my succeeding turns better (I never hated the timer more than after playing this deck).
