Notes & Combos

  • Shout out to the various youtubers, deck lists, and combo sheets that helped me become a better Branded player.
  • This deck went through multiple iterations from Diamond V to Master 1 before settling on this list at the end.
  • I acknowledge this variant is less consistent compared to other Branded decks and the climb was definitely not an easy one.
  • I prefer going first, but sometimes I get hands that are far better suited going second.
  • Long story short, We are either boardbreaking or bricking.
  • Side Comment: Out of all of the tech cards seen in this deck, I want to call out my favorite one of all.
  • Darkest Diabolos Lord of The Lair: This has been one of the tech cards I have been using in Branded for a while now and not planning to take out anytime soon. Long while ago, I was being constantly Nibiru and it pushed me to find some sort of answer what to do AFTER the fact. Eventually my research had me come across Diabolos. This card given me the extra 3K damage to OTK matches and being non-targetable/tributed by the opponent helped me survive some decks (i.e. Plants/Nouvelles/Sky Striker), including bringing to the field another body after being Nibiru.
  • FYI, If you some how put Cartesia on the board (i.e. Fusion Deployment) on your turn 1, you can send Diabolos to the graveyard via Granguignol while performing some branded lines. Special summoning Lubellion by tributing one of your dark dragons will trigger Diabolos effect to special summon itself from the graveyard too. Afterwards you can tribute another dark monster or even Diabolos to "rip" 1 card from the opponent's hand. This way the opponent starts with 5 cards instead of the usual six. Their starting hand can even be less if they used an handtrap or two already. Even on turn 2/3 I have used the "handrip" effect to keep the pressure on the opponent, especially if it is strange the Yubel player hasn't conceded the game and they have a single card in their hand.
