Notes & Combos

This is my current take on D-Link with Wyverbuster back (finally). I got into M1 coping with a 60 cards D-Link centurion pile but this version is obviously superior.

Some insights:

  • No red-eyes package. Black Metal Dragon is the best and most resilient 1-card combo, but it makes you play 2 meh cards to draw. In this version, normal summon Seyfert is your only true 1-card combo; however, you have up to 9 normal summons that can lead to combo so it is quite uncommon to not normal summon at all on your turn.
  • No branded beast. Terrible draw especially going 2nd, and I often find myself placing regained off of Lubellion for the extra draw anyways. The card is a great endboard piece however and I might add it back at some point.
  • Veiler is usually worse than imperm but not in this deck. Veiler lets you play around your own Bystials on turn 0, is discard fodder for Chaos Space and can even lead to combo with Collapserpent in hand through normal summon veiler -> almiraj (or s:p with a bystial in hand instead).
  • Unfortunately no room for Dharc, might experiment with -Triple Burst Dragon +Dharc. You could also cut Chaos Angel but this card is cracked.
  • D-Link has great resilience and grind game, but its endboards can be somewhat lackluster compared to many modern decks. Super Poly (which many decks run at 3 right now) outs your boss monsters and leaves you with nothing with 0 counterplay, and you can't really play around it either unfortunately.
