Notes & Combos
Before anything, I want to apologize to the Ghoti Community because I thought this deck would be easy to learn and pick up. Little did I know these fish not only know how to synchro summon but also hit your opponent with the 1 2 combo piece. If you want to learn this deck you not only need knowledge of your own deck but also your opponent's deck because the ghoti cards activate on your opponent's turn so you need to know when to hold, which card to banish, and when to go all in.
Instead of going through the many combos ghoti can do I will leave it to the many guides on youtube and even here on mdm. I will instead talk about the more specifics of my deck. First of all I decided on playing the sekka's light version of the deck cause 1)very unique and not posted a lot on mdm and 2) handtraps. Handtraps everywhere. Due to worlds there was no banlist this ranked climb so the meta decks are out in full force and having a variety of handtraps basically gives me advantages in different scenarios. Also since the in archetype spells and traps are not good you are barely playing spells and traps anyways so might as well have a powerful draw 2 card. If you draw a monster you don't want in the hand sekka light can banish itself to return 1 monster from your hand to the deck and draw 1 giving it more versatility in the deck.
Having access to the White Sardine and White Sunfish cards give this deck great plays. Not having to rely on Lifeless leaffish you can now combo into a spell and trap negate with dragite or bait out you opponent's handtraps since they are all special summons and don't waste your normal summon. Fun Fact: You can activate White Reincarnation first then activate sekka's light so you don't have to worry about sekka's restriction at first.
Finally Abyss Shark is just good to have for extenders. Being able to search either white sunfish or silent angler is great and being able to make stealth kragen is ok in some scenarios. Trying to make abyss dweller is what you should be trying to make if you have the extra extender but kragen gets the job done too.
Overall a nice combo deck that benefits from banishing so cards that banish are of no hiderance to you. Hopefully in the future Konami makes support in the form of a omni negate as you have to rely on your handtraps to negate opponent's cards.
