Notes & Combos
I went all the way from D5 to M1 with Kash this season (plus like 3 games with D-Link lol), constantly making changes to the list until I was satisfied with the consistency and non-engine performance. I decided to run a Breaker approach since I got sick of phantom blocking all Hand-Traps and Snake-eyes just having another starter anyway, but obliviously despite that Maxx and Shifter are in the deck since they are often instant win cards if they resolve.
My Final score with the final list, according to Untapped, is 48-21 / 69.6% win rate (nice)
I almost always go for the Arise-Heart in under 5 Line since usually the floodgate effect of Arise wins the game on its own so no need to play into nib. This also makes setting Big-Bang with Thrust much better, the only time you should play into nib is when your hand allows you to get in a spot where you can end on Arise with Arise as a material(in other words, use 3 Bodies for Arise after triggering Shang so you can make Arise on top of Arise) and prep in the back row so that if your opponent would out Arise, you can detach the second Arise and then summon it with prep so they need to have a second out. Also, always banish one Arise with prosp to make this line possible with the anti-nib combo by attaching the face-down Arise before using the banish effect to detach.
Going second, a mix of Dark Armed and S:P plus your breakers is how you win, Zeus is usually a last resort. The line to make S:P is any 2 Level 7 into Dracossack -> tokens into I.P -> I.P + Draco -> S:P.
I've now played Kash for most of this and last season. Here is my reason why some cards are/arent in the list:
- No Evenly since the battle phase is important to either set up a Zeus or trigger your Kash monsters effects
- Fissure over macro since it synergizes well with dark hole and the triple tactics cards because if your opponent has Maxx C they are forced to use it on fissures activation, making all tactics cards active
- Skull wagon because I'm too broke to craft N'tss lol
- No Big Eye since I think the card is just bad, I'd rather make a second Dark Armed. If you want to run it, just cut Goliath for it, the protection from that card never came up for me
- 3 Ogre and 1 Tearkash for added consistency, plus Ogre is really good to draw when you're in a top-deck war
- No Pathfinder, since normal summoning with birth comes up more often than you would think
- No Ty-phon since it only actually made a difference in 1 game for me since its release
