Notes & Combos

I'm back with yet another Tellar grind!

This time it was not very hard to be fair, testing finally the Centur-Ion engine.

The reason why I never used it before was that I always found it slightly underwhelming - or at least, not THAT impactful and you could often have dead cards in hand. After all, Tellars rely quite a lot on normal summon.

However! The adjustment I made was to not play 3 Oath (I get that Oath is very strong, but it may occasionally clog your hand if you play a total of 6 cards that basically share a once per turn, regardless of how good the card is).

In addition to that, I added Bonds. Maybe a weird card, but has its uses: first of all, turns a hand of stand-up/oath + trudea/gargoyle/bonds into combo without using the normal summon, secondly, it can give you grind game and more interruptions with Legatia on their turn. Yes, Legatia is my only synchro and you could even cut her, but there are scenarios where she can be quite good so up to personal preference (just like a flex extra deck slot where I added Dweller: it's the space you get from cutting I:P and Apollousa. Alternatives include, but are not limited to, Exciton, Crystalzero or even I:P/Apollousa themselves).

The board you make is not busted, but is very layered and can work pretty well, usually with S:P, Lancer, Ptol, set Genesis, Delt as an equip, set Full-Armored for a quick xyz into Dweller or Bagooska and sometimes set Bonds for a quick Synchro. Emeral and Legatia draw cards on top of that and the chances you can even Droll+Durendal handloop are pretty real.

If you wanted, you can play true awakening, which plays very well in this deck by sending Delteros to the grave to negate something while also triggering the floating effect, but it is yet another going 1st card that does nothing going 2nd, while instead opening Bonds can still provide some extension while breaking a board.

The non-engine choice was fairly simple: Droll feels quote nice in the meta (and is a pseudo Maxx answer), then there's Imperm, Maxx C tax, and no more real space. You could try fit in another generic that a given meta may call for, like Talents or Droplet, but be careful as you may risk bricking if you alter the math (this list is very consistent as of now).

I am still on the "no Crossout in Tellarknight" campaign, but if you wanna truly max out on the Maxx C answers, you can add it.

You can even go over 42 cards if you want, but in this list I would not go much beyond 44/45.
