Prerequisites

  • A registered Konami ID linked to your master duel game
  • Must login to Yu-Gi-Oh! Cards DB using the same Konami ID
  • If the Yu-Gi-Oh! DB website asks to login with Game Card ID just click "I don't have a game card ID" and fill some basic information to proceed

Export Guide

- Via the MDM extension (Recommended): Download on Firefox, or Chromium Browsers
For Chromium browsers (Chrome/Edge/Opera/Brave...etc) just click "Add to chrome" on the store page and it'll work on most if not all chromium browsers.
After using the extension, go to the Master Duel game => Main menu => Deck option => The Card database option at the top right corner => locate the deck you exported and copy it

  1. Click here to copy the export code
    2.
  2. Go to Yu-Gi-Oh! Cards DB and click My Deck => Add a Deck
  3. Once the deck page loads click Edit then do one of the following based on the platform your device is running:
    • (PC Only): Press F12 to open the DevTools window => Navigate to the Console tab in the window => Paste the export code => Hit Enter
    • OR (Other platforms/PC): In the address bar of the current tab remove the URL and type "javascript:" without the quotations then paste the export code, then if you're on mobile look for the *globe* icon and tap on it to run the code (Chrome only), for PC users just hit enter.
  4. The deck will save automatically
  5. Go to the Master Duel game => Main menu => Deck option => The Card database option at the top right corner => locate the deck you exported and copy it

Notes & Combos

This run from P5 to M5 was completely streamed live at twitch.tv/unnicknamed

I kept track of my winrate throughout the month. It went something like this:

  • Day 1 (didn't note when): 3W 0L
  • Day 2 (didn't note when): 14W 7L
  • Day 3 (09.08.2023): 5W 1L
  • Day 4 (10-11.08.2023): 4W 0L
  • Day 5 (22-23.08.2023): 8W 0L
  • Day 6 (29-30.08.2023): 7W 5L
  • Day 7 (30-31.08.2023): 8W 8L

TLDR: 49 wins and 21 losses. A very nice 70% winrate.

At one point I had a 13 winstreak; I went through D5, D4, and D3 without losing a single game. Then I got Maxx C'd vs an impressive board of Imperm'd Merrli pass. Oops.

My M5 rankup opponent went first and immediately scooped. He was on Kashtira. If I knew this was going to happen, I would have swapped to Roids.

I cut the Bystials to thin the Deck. With Adventure on the field I would have to banish the Bystial(s) on the field anyway so I'm back to regular handtraps. I added the 2 DD Crows on the final day because Branded and/or Tear Decks were very common, but I did not face a single one of them after adding the Crows, and the one time I did open a Crow was vs a Labrynth player against whom I forgot to chain DD Crow to his Welcome Big Labrynth in GY when he was about to Special Lady Labrynth, so he got rid of my Baronne. oops (i still won)

The Nordic Tuners and Alviss get eaten by Bystials, and unfortunately you usually can't know if they have those in hand until it is too late. Then they can run over your Adventure Token to render Gryphon useless, so it's best to simply use Gryphon to negate a Bystial in hand.

This Deck's greatest meta matchup seems to be D-Link, because their players don't ever read what's on your field. Its worst matchup is Branded because even though Svalinn ignores Branded Lost, a single Mirrorjade obliterates your entire field, and it can be Summoned in many ways, one of which is using Super Polymerization with your Gullveig/Aesir. Even after you do out it, you're gonna have to use your Alviss in GY and/or your Aesir's self-revive.

Never Summoned the Knightmares, Accesscode, Goddess, or PEP. I Donner'd a Floo player once so I could have a second Odin vs his empty board and went for game.

Now we wait for the Superheavies to come to the game; that too is a very good engine to run.
