Notes & Combos

This was my first time making it to Master 5, and I'm glad I did it with HEROs. Climbing to Plat 1 was pretty easy, but I started having some difficulty once I reached Diamond. The hardest part of the climb was going from D1 to M5. I was hardstuck there for a few days, but I eventually got lucky enough to make it past. Honestly, this meta isn't great for HERO. Climbing is doable, but it just requires A LOT of patience. My main matchups were Snake Eye Fire King, Yubel, Silent Voice, and Tearlament.

The deck is a traditional Omni-HERO build with the exception of 1 extra Stratos and 1 extra Poly. 3 Stratos improves consistency since we are running 50 cards, and the extra Poly helps with playing through things like Shifter and Ash. Since HERO struggles to play through an established board, I am running 3 Forbidden Droplet and a Thrust package containing Heavy Storm, Evenly Matched, Raigeki, and Triple Tactics Talent to break boards. I also included an E - Emergency Call in the package to help improve consistency. If you can't afford the Thrust package, you can just run 1 Duster (or Heavy Storm) and 3 Evenly matched instead, cutting the extra Stratos and Poly as well. Evenly Matched is EXTREMELY good this format. It gave me a bunch of free wins. Extra deck is pretty traditional except for Destiny HERO Dystopia and Vision Hero Trinity. Honestly, Dystopia is a very slept on card that I think more HERO decks should be running. The burn comes up more than you think, and it can combo with Favorite Contact for another disruption if Shining Neos Wingman is not the best option to summon. Trinity is good since it can let you OTK the opponent without playing into Nibiru.
