Notes & Combos
I've been playing this deck in paper for the past few months so the experience definitely helped but it just didn't feel fair to play this deck against other people.
The deck basically can't lose going first if you get to go full combo, you typically end on the following: 3 material Apollousa, phantom of yubel, chamber, rage and yama in grave and some number of miscellaneous handtraps. Combined with Nightmare Pain, throne, and gates as potential backup it makes the board almost impossible to get through without board wipes like Raigeki.
The deck will probably get better assuming there's no hits on future banlists, with the Fiendsmith engine and cards like Varudras on the way Yubel will get significantly better since snake eyes, while still strong is not as strong as Yubel.
The grind overall took about 2 days, I started day 1 at Plat 5 and got to plat 2, and over the course of day 2 I went all the way from plat 2 to Master 5. The only thing that really stops this deck are Maxx "C" (of course) and floodgates that banish/limit summons. The only matches I had trouble with were specifically stun and kash as kash ending on ariseheart made it incredibly difficult to play and stun is stun.
Overall I think the deck is incredibly good and will continue to be good for the foreseeable future, so have fun with that.
