Notes & Combos
This is the most down to earth branded decklist.
- 40 vs 60: Never really a huge fan of 60-card branded and even less so with Tenpai around. We need outs to Maxx C because we auto lose to Tenpai if we let them draw all the outs to our board. Playing close to 40 allows us to see our 5 outs (Ash + CBTG)
- 2 Albaz: Might need to bump it to 3 if WF Runick becomes a bigger thing but 2 is all you need. This list doesn’t try to grind hence the Ad Lib and D/D lock and Albaz is just a vanilla going first which led to a lot of brick hands when I was playing 3
- Magnamut for the extra dragon count since we're running 2 High Spirits
- Vice King: I prefer my games to be quick tbh. 40 card list also doesn’t grind that well so you want the games to be quick
- Ad Lib: Probably the best addition to the list. Turns Branded in Red into two interruptions by fusing Ad Lib and Mirrorjade into Dragostapelia and then bringing back Mirrorjade. Also in certain scenarios where it’s hard to get Albaz into rotation because our main combo line shuffles Lubellion and Albaz into Mirrorjade, we can dump Ad Lib with GGG to make our Branded in Red live.
- Forbidden Droplet: I really want to cut this for Super Poly, but the extra deck is pretty tight. This card isn’t that great imo. The card goes so minus. I rather see Super Poly going second with no hand traps than Droplet
- Branded in High Spirit: 2 is probably the correct ratio in this build. Bumped this from 1 to 2 and it has been amazing. It allows you to play through ash on branded fusion. You don’t see it enough at 1 and you don’t want to see multiples so you don’t play 3. It’s also not great going second so 2 is probably correct.
- Branded in Red: Decided to cut Branded in White for the second Branded in Red and I’m liking it a lot. It’s helps break boards going second and there are interactions where you can dodge imperm/veiler on Aluber. It’s your best set off Red Albion. All the traps are bricks.
