Notes & Combos

After the (un)banlist, I wanted to try utilizing the newly unbanned Ib in Generaider to search for a double E-tele in World Legacy Monstrousity. Unfortunately, there really isn't a good line into Ib without jumping through hoops. The best way to use Ib in this deck is to use it to play through certain disruptions. People will instinctively slam down their handtraps when you Normal Summon Diviner thinking that you are on Voiceless. You follow up with one of your 11 Instant Fusions to summon Munin, Synchro into Ib, and then any any other Runick card is full combo.

With that in mind, max out on Diviner, it is the best Normal Summon by far. If you happen to draw Trias, you can send Vala instead. Trias is actually decent disruption as all the Tokens are Fairy. Orange Light is a target for when you Tribute Diviner, to go into Ib with Munin. I never found the need for Utgarda or Nidhogg, so I cut down on the bricks.

Despite what it looks like, the objective is not to end on Fountain. The Runick Spells just help facilitate Rank 9 plays and sometimes the draws off Fountain can help get to additional combo pieces. Boss Stage is the better Field Spell for this deck anyway. Besides with the limiting of the good Runick cards, what can you actually draw that is good?

Pray go first. Concede and go next if you face Gimmick Puppet or Mathmech. Conversely, the Tenpai matchup is actually pretty decent given our endboard. When comboing if I do not sense any handtraps through the toggle, I would go for the greedy rip three cards combo. This is where you first make Jormungandr alongside Harr to force a hand rip with his secret effect, then with enough bodies go into Enterblathnir plays. Use enough main monster zones to only summon four times with Boss Stage. Never play into Nib for no reason.

While it is awesome to see this deck go off, it is probably not the best choice for the DC Cup. Everybody is playing 12+ handtraps when one needs at least two cards to make plays. The meta is not kind to this deck.
