Notes & Combos

Infernoble pendulum is a version of the infernoble deck that relies on the "igknight / dracoslayer" engine to build its board.

The idea is to modify the basic combo a little to add a normal "Igknight" pendulum monster with the first isolde effect, then summon "Ignis Phoenix, the Dracoslayer" and make beyond pendulum with these two monsters to add a second Ignis Phoenix to the hand. This gives access to 2 scales for a pendulum summon, plus makes the effect of Igknight activatable which allows you to destroy both scales to search a fire warrior from the deck, then proc the effect of Ignis phenix to summon "Magesty Pegasus, The Dracoslayer" from the deck, which allows you to add any field spell in the deck to your hand.

This version has both advantages and disadvantages compared to the diabllestar version. Let's start with the advantages. The board assembled by infernoble pendule is stronger than the classic board. Thanks to the pendulum scales, you have more bodies available for combos, giving you the opportunity to add an apollousa or a rank 4 xyz on your end board. The normal version of the combo naturally puts Apollousa on the field.

The combo is also more stable, because the full board can be reached as soon as isolde is on the field, and there are no additional extender requirements, as these are added to your hand by the combo itself. Since pendulum scales alone can summon 2 Charles + Gearfried, the combo resists nibiru. The 5th summon is beyond pendulum, which adds the second scales and you can do apollousa before committing to angelica.

Since this version plays the same combo pieces as the pure version, it plays just as well under droll as the other versions, and since igknight can also recycle cards from the graveyard, it's possible to use them to improve your board.

However, this version does not benefit from the extra grind of the diabellstar version. The board is harder to break, but if it is, then it will be harder to reassemble. What's more, its go second is inferior to that of the classic versions, because while it's possible to enter up to 8 - 9 non-engines, playing too many makes the deck unstable and more sensitive to disruption.

In other words, the deck is more stable and stronger going first and slightly weaker going second.
