Notes & Combos
One of my favourites Runick variants so far.
The deck can play through some handtraps but the main reason I prefer this variant instead of the others is the fact that it can play under Droll and Lock Bird and it plays excellently around Nibiru.
Even though Droll can hinder the final board, I decided that it was best playing around it by not including Secret Password. The only problem is that, in order to get the fountain, you have to summon Hugin during MP 1 after you Normal Summoned a Live Twin monster since they require no other monster on the field to activate their effects.
For full combo you just need a Live Twin and a Runick or a Spright card (basically any third monster is fine).
Basic Line
- During Main Phase: NS a Live twin, if you summon the Lil-La, SP Ki-Sikil Frost
- Activate a Runick to SS Hugin
- Use Hugin and blue as material for Gigantic and SS Spright Blue with its effect
- Blue gets Jet, Jet gets either Double Cross for ****** Steal/Monster Reborn or Starter for a negate (I usually prefer summoning Carrot)
- SS using Gigantic and Blue or Jet I:P Masquerena (used for Gryphon lock) or Spright Elf (for recursion and target protection) on the RIGHT Extra Monster Zone. My favourite one is Elf, since I don't know what deck the opponent is playing I don't want to commit into an unused Masquerena
- SS Evil Twin Ki-Sikil using Jet
- Bring back Lil-La from GY
- Link both into Evil Twin Lil-La on the LEFT link arrow
- Bring back Ki-Sikil from GY BELOW Masquerena or Elf and draw 1
- If you don't have Red or Carrot and you have Elf, Link Ki-Sikil and Lil-La into a Ki-Sikil to pop during opponent's turn.
That way if you want to lock with Masquerena, the Gryphon will be in a position where only your monsters can activate their effects if your opponent hasn't any Link monster. Also it leaves 3 open arrows to activate Double Cross.
If you go second, or if your opponent committed to something on the board, you can summon Evil Twin Lil-La first to get a pop, but link arrows will be a little more difficult to manage.
What if i don't have the Live Twin engine?
If that's the case, I included a Sprind to help.
You need at least a Runick and a Spright Jet or Blue, or in worst case scenario, any NS and 2 Special Summons.
If you want to draw, send Lil-La to GY with Sprind, then SS Ki-Sikil with Gigantic
If you want to pop, send Ki-Sikil to GY, then SS Lil-la
If you SS Gigantic before Sprind, you'll play around Nibiru
Replays

I wanted to include better replays, but MD said NO so they became unavailable. I tried getting some more replays, but even the newest ones (during Master 5/4) aren't as good as the older ones (in Diamond). They still provide some value in terms of what the deck can achieve.
