Notes & Combos
Survival can be a matter of luck & skill, and you can't rely on luck.
Dinomorphin' Time!
This decklist got me from Platinum V - Master V in just 2 days... I honestly don't remember the last time I flew through the ranks so quickly.
Due to Superheavy Samurai and to a lesser extent Vanquish Soul and Branded Despia pervading the ladder, I too have included some counterplay for a more effective climb...
-
Droll & Lock Bird has been making waves recently due to it ending whole turns for a lot of combo decks, moreso than Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring, so I swapped her out in favor of Droll & Maxx "C". Can even consider including Nibiru, The Primal Being as well to punish and/or bait out negates.
-
Gozen Match & Rivalry of Warlords also proved to be insane blowout cards. (Surprise, surprise.) My argument to main deck them is to try and tackle one of the 2 main weaknessess that Dinomorphia dreads. One of those being Lava Golem.
-
The other weakness is Ash Blossom. The new support we received this season Dinomorphia Intact is just the answer we needed. I also experimented with 2 Called By The Grave and 1 Crossout Designator as additional ways to stop Ash Blossom and/or Infinite Impermanence. Worked as good as you'd expect.
-
I also think 2 Fossil Dig is the perfect ratio for me. I don't like running 3 because although the initial consistency is a godsend, it bricks often in the grind game after you've already used most of your resources or opened too many monsters... I would only justify running it at 3 if there were more Dinosaur tech options. I personally would include 1 more Miscellaenousaurus, if I were to go that route though; that card has saved me multiple times, and sometimes I really wish I had more copies.
-
As for the consistency cards, Wannabee & Trap Tracks more than make up for my lack of pots. Since we're a trap heavy deck, we will usually always find a good trap to set for the next turn, whether going First or Second. Also if you happen to destroy Supreme King Z-ARC with Trap Track's effect, then you can immediately set him in the Pendulum Zone and he effectively shuts down Fusion, Synchro & Xyz Monsters your opponent controls.
Still also waiting on Arias, The Labrynth Butler & S:P Little Knight to push this deck's potential even further beyond!
Have faith in the heart of the cards! Godspeed.

You're not going to believe this, he was attacked by some kind of... dinosaur!
[laughs] Now that's a good one! So, who was it? Barney?
This isn't a joke you idiot! We were just attacked by a big assed lizard!
