I HATE DIABELLESTAR I HATE DIABELLESTAR I HATE DIABELLESTAR

First of all, let me just make it clear that this deck is by no means optimal. However, I suck at playing meta unless I'm able to confuse my opponent with silly tech (it's why I'm very rarely on a meta deck, mirror matches eat me alive). In this case, the gimmick is Gizmek Uka turbo.

Seeing as the card release order skipped over the one good format we've had in the TCG since pre-POTE, I decided to do it anyway. I hate Snake-Eyes and I refuse to use a single Snake-Eye card.

Usually the issue with Gizmek Uka is that it relies upon your opponent not only summoning from the deck, but also having an attribute that aligns with your deck. Playing Rescue-ACE solves that issue; Uka tutors any of your cards if against a meta FIRE deck, as well as Impulse (or EMERGENCY on your turn) triggering Uka independent of your opponent's summons.

If your opponent is on a mainly DARK deck (e.g. Yubel), summons the smelly woman before summoning from deck, or even just uses some staple DARK monster (e.g. Kitkallos), you can summon Fusion Parasite from the deck and fuse into Milennium-Eyes Restrict or Gaia Prominence; this will often happen turn 0 and is incredibly difficult to play around simply because it's not expected. I prefer Restrict when making a play turn 0 and Prominence if they have access to the battle phase.

Against the rare LIGHT deck you can still tutor Gizmek Naganaki which gets you a free Hydrant on your turn. I experimented with The Iris Swordsoul for funsies but unfortunately it's still ****. Maybe when a LIGHT meta happens it'll be worthwhile.

As such, Uka is often an even better hand trap than anything else in the meta, being able to not only act as a monster negate, but deny key graveyard resources and produce a large beater with great follow-up potential.

Shinobi Insect + Seraphim is niche, but they're there to allow you to access both fusions or dodge called by on Maxx C. I'd consider replacing them with more link backrow removal like Knightmare Unicorn.

Outside of the above, you're really just playing a Rescue-ACE deck, so any common advice regarding playing it (which you can get from better sources than me) applies.

Despite all the meme tech, the climb has been incredibly smooth, probably one of the easiest M5s I've had as long as you discount the Fire King Snake-Eye matchup. I think Master 1 is definitely doable and is something I'll consider trying.
