Notes & Combos

Copied from moMentDs' Top 8 list. It feels very smooth to play.

Decided to go all-in on Supreme King after struggling with a similar list using a Pendulum Magician engine.

Side Deck: Cards that can be switched in.

Combo: You want to make pre-pend Electrumite, Exceed the Pendulum (Nibiru check), then either:

  • Use Exceed to summon a monster (another Nib check), make 2 mat Apollousa, then pend summon and make your end board
  • Pend summon and make your end board, Exceed summons a monster at some point

Do this while getting Soul of the Supreme Celestial King and as many Supreme King Gate Magicians (SKGM), Darkwurms and Lightwurms as you can. Mainly with Darkwurm, Wings of Light, Odd-Eyes Revolution Dragon and Astrograph.

Endboard: Some combo of 2 or 4 mat Apollusa, Odd-Eyes Vortex Dragon, Borreload Savage Dragon, IP Masquerena. 1 Astrograph or SKGM to tribute if you have the Z-ARC trap set.

Rarely all of it unless you opened a great hand and didn't get interrupted much.

It depends on your hand, how many SKGM, lvl 7's and 4's you get, how much you had to play around handtraps and whether you used Darkwurm's pendulum effect.

Playing around handtraps: Very important to do this right now. Some hands can die to 1 handtrap if played carelessly. Main things to consider are:

  • Dragon Shrine/Foolish Burial being Ashed
  • Normal summoned Joker/Darkwurm eff being negated
  • Nibiru. Use pre-pend Exceed + her summon eff to check for Nib. This is opponent's last chance to Nib before you make 2 mat Apollusa.

Maybe use Revolution Dragon or Wings before Dragon Shrine. Or Darkwurm's pend effect while you control no monsters to get SKGM scaled before summoning something. That way you have a low + mid scale and 1 SKGM in rotation before even summoning.

Other tips in the comments soon.

Right now, the only replay with this decklist is vs MIRA. I'll try to add more soon.

The other July replays are with a similar decklist using a Pendulum Magician engine. Mainly playing around handtraps. They could have been sequenced better tho.

Also a couple July replays with a non-Supreme King Pendulum Magician list.
