Notes & Combos

I've been pretty slow climbing for a while since I've been leaving ranked climbing more so for my streams, however, I figured I'd put a little more oomph into things for this month. (at least for now)

The only change in this list from my last M1 list is running 2 Overroot over 1 Overroot and 1 IDP. I gave into the low potential of opening both for the great utility they provide. They can clear out Fire King Island whenever, they can easily remove King's Sarc if needed, they have the nice utility of stopping any on activation field spell that we would struggle with, AND they help against any stun cards you might run into. You'll just have to be weary of things like Necrovalley and Belle.

In my 46 games for D5 -> M5, I only saw 5 Fire King decks (only 1 was pure without Snake-Eyes). Either people are tired of playing it or the introduction of an Elo rating system after hitting M1 has gotten everything to rush towards M1 and all of the Fire King players are either in Master or already at M1.

I think the biggest gripes I've had with the deck itself so far are the normal things you'd run into with Traptrix - Not opening any names (all handtraps/traps that aren't Holeutea), opening too many names, opening like 1 backrow and having my normal summon hit by Imperm/Ash so I can't build anything up, going second without handtraps, etc. With current decks, generally, if you don't get Sera or a Holeutea going early on, you'll be easily be outpaced (if you weren't already before even playing)
