Notes & Combos

Pure Dark Magician list designed to counter the meta, mainly Tearlaments but it also covers Floowandereeze and Exosister matchups. Due to the new rank, diamond ladder is way easier than it used to be (It's literally like S17 Platinum). I started tracking my duels from D3 onwards:

• Exactly 50% of the duels (17/34) were against Tearlaments. Opening Soul Drain going 1st or Cherries going 2nd was basically a free win against them. Adamancipator (8.8%), Exosister (8.8), Spright (5.6%) and Floo (5.9%), Blacking (2.9%).

• My overall winrate was 55.9%. Going 1st 72.7% and going second 47.8% (the more you draw Cherries the higher %). Also, the majority of duels ended in turn 2.

• Gameplay is pretty simple. You do your regular DM plays but using Skill/Soul Drain going first and Maxx C/ DD Crow/Cherries/Imperm going second. Not flashy but effective.

• Unlike my previous list, I added Maxx C since Spright and Adaman are popular decks while at the same time Evenly is being a dead card against Adamn due to Baronne, Spright due to Carrot and Tear due to Cryme and especially Exterio.

• Allure can be changed with Upstart or more copies of Chicken Game if you are not playing Winter Cherries, but it works surprisingly well with 3 Cherries, 3 Crow and extra copies of DM monsters to discard.

• DMG is optional, since games are decided in turn 1 I decided to cut it.

• Some Extra Deck monsters are just Winter Cherries targets.
