Notes & Combos

Bagooska/Exceed Salamangreat

Turn 1 end board is Wolf + Bagooska + Roar + Princess in gy (good hands can also make S:P). Fowl is needed for the rank 4 combo. However sometimes you end on the standard Pyro Phoenix board depending on your hand and how the opponent interacts with you.

Bagooska is really good right now and solos almost every deck in the format. This version has better odds to end on something under Maxx "C" compared to other builds and can out d-fissure/macro with S:P. Bagooska also can help break boards.

I think S:P is a lot more important than Hiita. It won me many games. A lot of times this build doesn't play pyro phoenix or code of soul, but I still think they are good and are worth playing.

I don't think effect veiler performs very well in this deck at least in the current format. The deck struggles so much to break boards and needs a lot of help. Forbidden Chalice performs a lot better because you can use it on the card that is the problem like I:P or S:P and you don't play into Triple Tactics Talent or called by. There's too much risk of the opponent negating it or extending into I:P/S:P anyway after.

I play Bystials for some of the same reasons. They are harder to negate and can help you get over I:P/S:P/Fenrir/Unicorn without using your normal summon and also have some turn 1 benefit. Rivalry auto wins the game turn 1 and is decent at breaking boards going 2nd.

9 game win streak from D3-D1.
