Notes About the Climb

Just some general things since I didn’t do a mono deck climb this season, most of my games were with various different types of Runick variants such as blind second Striker Runick, Bystial Runick or my mistake of a deck that was Mikanko Adventure Runick.. Fire meta sucks. It is originally what made me leave the tcg and stick to playing MD for a while and now that it's here idk what to do since every game was either against stun or fire.

About the Deck

This deck is based off my TCG Vaal Runick deck so it suffers heavily from the Master Duel syndrome of Maxx “c” and a very heavily hit Runick engine. The ideal endboard would be IP + Tapir + Vaal trap set + Fountain and Runick engine online. The main way to clear Hugen from your EMZ is to link her and your normal summon off into IP so you can go Pen Summon into one of the link arrows. The game plan is to use Runick as your non engine and sub engine waiting for either a Runick deck out or just going for game with the Vaal lethal line in a simplified gamestate.

Match Ups

Fire king - Snake Eyes

• Pray you go first or open Maxx “C” going second. Some people also simply don't know how to play the game and have used the deck as a crutch so there is a high chance they combo themselves into a corner. The amount of people that don’t know the lethal lines astound me it's basically just an Accesscode line for fire decks at this point.

Horus stun

• Runick + Tapir solos here try to banish Happi so they can't recycle cards

Naturia Horus

• Just don’t go second (^m^)

Vaal

• Played against them exactly once just be smart with your negates and bounces and you will be fine their normal summon is a good negate

Runick variants

• Try to banish fountain before their loop is online

Rescue ace

• Tapir solos there just try to avoid letting them get the field online or SP up to out tapir or fountain going second you just cry.

End Notes

Really hate this season. I might just turbo M1 with Snake Eyes Fire King and call it a season. It is just way too powerful and half the cards in the deck are either a mistake or way too powerful and overtuned. We have seen from the tcg hits that the generic extra deck cards (Baron and Savage or Linkuriboh) are not the issue and the Snake eye cards are the main issue and it sucks that it will get the Fire King hit when the Fire King cards are not the issue.
