Notes & Combos
We have a problem. The meta has gotten worse.
Last month many piles were on azamina slop, but they discovered the millennium engine, and its powerful. Cards like retaliating C became so inconsistent that I think I only summoned it twice my entire climb, and one time I still lost.
The consistency and power of these decks made hoping to open torrential + counter trap frustrating. So, I tried handtraps.
Droll: it does kinda stop turns, but the opps can still make a board, and I was having trouble even getting through simple Silva pass or Silva Caesar pass, or apollousa pass.
Ogre: it always has targets. And many targets like field spells, monsters in backrow, and apollousa were excellent.
Belle: I only used it three times, but all three times (branded on cartesia),(voiceless on pre prep) (and snake eyes fiend smith on flamberge) it won me the game.
Bystials: too inconsistent and not impactful enough into snake eyes.
Nib: this was the big surprise of the climb. Thank you Jay in 4K for the idea. People do not respect this card at all. And I broke so many slop boards with it. Plus, it gave me a body, which was critical for a deck that has limited summons.
Superpoly: it was dead so often. And the few times I could use it, like against snake eyes, it didn’t deal with the gigantic apollousa or sp.
I’ll keep tinkering with the list.
