Notes & Combos
Zombie pile heavily inspired by MattDawg's list. Thanks to Matt for revitalizing my love for zombies, which I fell off on after Chaos Ruler was banned (RIP Zombie P.U.N.K).
The decklist is largely open to interpretation and I would like to explain some of my ratios:
- 2 Banshee: Higher chance of randomly milling it and sometimes we can get into a situation in which we have a reserve banshee activation in case Zombie World gets popped. ZW is so insane against Tenpai and Fiendsmith which made up around ~75% of my matches. Also has good applications against Blue-Eyes.
- Destrudo Package: This includes Destrudo, the Chicken Games, and AFD. I used this instead of Upstart Goblin because it's what I had - I liked Destrudo as a plus off of discarding for Uni-Zombie / Sarc and AFD as a bridge between engines. Not necessary, but try it if you have it. I would not play the Sarc field spell if you're not on Destrudo.
What to Cut?
Cards you can cut:
- Most hand traps can be slotted out for others depending on what you're seeing. I thought Nib underperformed during the climb.
- Destrudo package (mentioned above)
- Dingirsu is a decent board breaker but can be slotted in with any XYZ 8, Synchro 8 / 10 / PEP / etc
If you don't own the Millenium package I would strongly consider crafting it. It improves the deck immensely. Mazginer has a list that utilizes a P.U.N.K engine, but it's also alongside Millenium. There isn't realy a replacement for what it does for us.
GMG package came up a few times, mostly against board breaker Tenpai. It can be hard to get Beatrice to resolve twice without being interrupted.
