Notes & Combos
This is the most fun deck I played in a while and also the first deck that rly made me wanna share it with others. It will be sadly a bit weaker with Lightning Storm at 2 but still fine (I'd add another Triple Tactics Talent in exchange but not sure). Pretty dependend on the opponent's board but that makes it an amazing puzzle where you have to find a way to the win :)
The first thing one can notice is that I don't play Maxx "C". I don't think it works out well for this deck cause:
- bad Lava Golem synergy if the opponent only ends with 1 Monster (ex. S:P Little Knight)
- Triple Tactics cards become less activatable with no known monster effect cards to bait (ex. bagooska on field and no monster handtraps)
- when negated playing with only 5 cards going 2nd is horrible as you will still play against a full board but with one less card
If someone disagrees they can change it up as this deck plays 22-23 non-engine cards which allows for a lot of experimentation. Extra Deck is mostly used if the game has to go to turn 4 (happens pretty rarely) and is likely not perfect but I haven't come up with better ideas.
Here are some OTK lines (not card draw combinations as there are a lot of varations that lead to the same outcome):
- Ohime, Hu-Li vs Lava Golem: 3k damage x 2 + 1k next standby (Lava Golem) + 1k with Spiritwalk (equip Lava Golem) = 8k damage
- 2 Mikankos with 1 Mayowashidori, 1 Kaiju/stolen monster vs 1 monster: after 2nd attack with Mikanko return opponents monster to the hand (Mayowashidori) and attack directly with the Kaiju/stolen one -> damage varies but usually enough
- Ohime and 1 Mikanko with Snatch Steal/Reflection Rondo in GY vs 1 >2667 ATK monster: after 2nd attack with Mikanko use Ohimes effect and steal opponent's monster for direct attack
- 1 Mikanko vs >2k ATK monster with Double-Edged Sword >= 8k damage
- 1 Mikanko with Double-Edged Sword direct attack = 4k damage (used once against a trap deck with rollback)
At last I wanted to share that this deck shines at best of one duels cause if the opponent just does nothing you pretty much don't get to do anything... and you play too many going 2nd cards that you can't side enough of them out. Gotta say I didn't expect that I'd find myself hating tenpai players that don't bother placing a Hieratic Seal...
That happens rarely tho which is why I have enjoyed playing this so far. Have fun dueling :)
