Notes & Combos

This month I decided to play Snake-Eyes with the new Diabellstar for my monthly climb.

All in all I have to say even with all the hits, this deck is still pretty strong and it's still a lot of fun.

The deck is pretty standard with all the limits and I run the Kashtira package since it's honestly just so good and helps with going 2nd and playing through handtraps.

A couple of things of note though:

  • Since we only have 1 Poplar i decided to run 1 Small World alongside Droll as a Bridge. This helps regain a little bit of consistency and is definetly nice to have (Droll can bridge to Snake-Eye Ash by lvl 1, to Diabellstar by Spellcaster and even to Kash Unicorn by Wind)
  • Anti-Spell is really good against Tenpai. I usually hate loading up on on cards that are exclusively good going 1st but with Tenpai around this card just feels so nice. If they have Doplet they are forced to activate it early, stopping our Flamberge from summoning I:P, but with the field spell we can then summon it after we are protected from other spells.

Other than that our main combo has changed a little with the new Diabellstar, so we now end on a 3-Mat Apollousa, Flamberge with I:P and Princess in GY (for 6 disruptions off a single Ash)

If we however open Diabellstar and Ash we do the Synchro line, ending on even more.

For an explanation of the standard combo I will have a replay on my profile, for the extended combo with the synchros I refer to a video from "Moha - Master Duel" on YouTube, since I haven't performed that combo a single time during my climb with all the Handtraps running around. Make sure you watch Moha's video though, it's called "UPDATED | SNAKE EYES - EASY GUIDE & DECKLIST!". It's without the new Diabellstar though, so only the extended combo is still fully relevant.

Replay 1: vs. YUBEL (with the asian name) just shows the new combo off 1 Snake-Eye Ash Replay 2: vs. Gold-Pride P.U.N.K. shows the deck playing through a fully established board. Really goes to show how much gas this deck is able to put up.
