Notes & Combos

I didn't have the time to go all the way to M1 this time which is unfortunate. Overall, This deck is in a rough spot right now and is in dire need for new Cydra cards that are actually good. You can still win and climb with it though, it's just much more difficult than it used to be.

Now let me talk about the new changes...Consistency is and always has been the main problem with this deck and I was bricking way too often so I needed to do something about it. I added the 2nd Nachster and took out 1 Thrust as it was the only card that I can realistically cut. Drawing Nachster can be good or bad but I do think it's necessary to play 2 as we don't have anything better to play and honestly I'm more comfortable knowing that I have a 2nd one because it does come up sometimes.

I've talked about Thrust and how important it is multiple times both here and in the Cydra Discord but I don't want to see 2 in my hand and I needed to cut something so 1 of them had to go. It's still an important card but consistency takes the priority here.

This brings us to the new card Disablaster...I'm still testing it out so not 100% sure yet if I'm keeping it and I can't really cut anything for it so the deck is 41 cards now which is fine. I want to say that playing it at 3 as a Machine Dupe target is incorrect as this card by itself is just another brick and we have enough of those. Having 1 copy though enables certain lines that were not possible before such as Core + OG Cydra which is full combo. Also, sometimes you can use it as a Pendulum Scale and negate something important. Overall, it doesn't seem like a necessary card but it's nice to have in your deck.

Finally, I want to say something about the Tenpai matchup...Now obviously winning the coin flip is a big factor here but this matchup is actually worse for Tenpai than it is for Cydra. We have a better going first turn and better grind game so do keep that in mind. It can be pretty frustrating though when you keep losing the coin flip against them and when you win it you're playing against another deck.
