Had to run pure ninjas for the anniversary of their release.
Holy **** this deck sucks lmao
Was 2 matches from M5 and hit the worst loss streak ever, fell to D4, switched to top tier and grinded back to D1 in like an hour to try again with ninjas, got it the second time.
Tech choices:
No Ash - Low impact, low testosterone, low energy. Deck doesn't care too much about Maxx C so I cut it for shield bearers.
Shield Bearer - GAS GAS GAS. Nice synergy with the notebooks for getting back what you pitched. Ninjas feel bricky with the usual core I see people running. Helps a lot IMO.
2 Jioh - Not so bad with notebooks. Comes up fairly often, don't have to bend over backwards to get him back into play if you draw him.
No Alchemy - I'm not a fan of adding bricks to fix bricking. Tried it, wasn't a fan. Sad.
Ghost Ogre - High impact hand trap in this format. Helps a ton vs Voiceless, Cent, Yubel, etc. Useless vs fire kings and Tear tho.
Super Poly - Nice vs fire king, can sometimes get rid of their field so they can't play, pretty much always useful in almost every matchup.
Typhon - This dude helped me so much vs tear. Really helps deal with their boss monsters. Can even summon him then play on their turn with traps with rulk / baronne in the way.
2x Ninja Fusions - This was almost never an issue. I like a toolbox extra deck over rarely needed triple X redundancy.
2x Tobari - Not the best card to draw. Does the least by himself IMO. I never wanted a 3rd one so 2 seems to be the way.
