Notes & Combos

Please read the modern Ancient Gears guide on the site. Deck's pretty cool, HOWEVER, I am NOT playing an optimal buil (3 santas are not the standard lmao). I misplayed towards the end of the tournament. Still, was lots of fun and I'd recommend you to try it out.

On that note, have a nice day, and remember folks, MECHANIZED MELEE!!!

As a fellow ancient gear player, I want to say great job on making it to the Top 16. What kind of board breakers have you tried using on this deck ? As I was playing the duelist cup, I ended up adding 2 Twin Twisters along side feather duster and heavy storm to deal with spell/trap and sometime trigger geartown too. For the monster, I only using 2 droplet with 3 kaiju right now. I tried using Book of eclipse but realised if I use it, I cannot use AG Advance. Tried using Super Poly but always fight opponent with no suitable monsters lol.

Hi! Sorry for the late response, I usually try not to play yugioh during school weeks haha. (obviously making an exception here). Hmm, I've built this list on my alt account because I am too poor on my main, AND I just happened too poor to play any other boardbreakers, so I don't know if there otherr ones are better or not haha. What I can say tho: 3 droplets is MANDATORY, the card is way too good for this deck to not run it. if you want to run 2 twin twisters because you keep facing stun, sounds fine by me, but else I would prefer lightning storm because it can both remove monsters or S/Ts. And I prefer Santa Claw over kaijus for once simple fact: more than 1 kaiju in your hand can brick. if you open 2 kaijus, you kaiju the opponent once but the other one's stuck in your hand. Santa claw doesn't have that restriction tho, allowing to be a more versatile boardbreaker, and the fact that it gets summoned in defense does not matter thanks to ballista and, you know, big boys all having piercing damage. I will try to grind on my alt account more tho in order to unlock more boardbreakers, I hope to get some good cards and ratios (don't ask me anything about ratios, I suck at deckbuilding and usually just throw whatever I have at once and see what sticks and what's bad lol) to enjoy AG a bit longer before Tenpai claims the title of best going 2nd deck of Masterduel. Hope this answers some questions, cheers! (if it doesn't, just ask me here)
