Made it to Master playing Dark World, it sure was a trip. \nI had a lot of help from Hellfire Shadow in the dark world channel in the Discord, so s/o.

I'm still playing a gates list, which might not be optimal, but I have not yet tried to play without it.

The extra deck space is quite tight, and although this is what I used to climb, I recommend swapping either Security dragon or Akashic for an Azalea, which helps a ton going second.

If you happen to have multiple dangers! in hand, I'd recommend always using the bad one first. That way, you will lose less if they happen to hit themselves

So it would be in order : already used dangers < dangers in multiple copies in your hand < Chupacabra / Mothman < Jackalope = Tsuchinoko < Nessie

Always pay attention to the possible reactions of the opponent, it can help you guide your plays. Most of the time, it can help you know what kind of handtrap they're playing. For example, if there is a waiting time after using a danger, chances are your opponent has an Ash blossom in hand. if there's a trigger when you have a monster on the field, it's probably either a veiler or an imperm... Knowing this means you can try to bait them.

If you see your opponent playing a 60 card deck, be very careful if you try to use The Zombie Vampire, it can give them amazing setup.

Basically an ftk deck by handlooping the opponents. Most wins are basically by decking them out with their maxx c + charmies and using card of destruction. Lucent helps a lot in this scenario, giving the opponent 2 draws when it's discarded.

If you don't get Maxx c'd or Drolled you can easily handloop for 5 with Sillva twice and TTT/Gen. While setting up 4 mat Apollo, Grapha fusion + IP into SP setup.

Going second, it has some problems, since it's easier to stop you with their interactions and your bad draws. But it should have enough gas to push into some boards if they don't use their interruptions correctly.

Overall a pretty fun deck, might just like gambling.

Dark World Best Deck

ok so I grabbed this list from @Koshka, I just made some changes after the Sillva unban:

Added 1 Arm. Knight - this deck doesnt have a good normal summon so Arm. Knight fills that void, you usually pitch Zephyros with this but you can also send Genta or Reign-Beaux if you need access to either of them

Removed Zombiestein and Zeus - felt too niche, didnt miss these 2 in the slightest

Added Zombie Vampire and Unicorn - just wanna make it clear here: Unicorn does NOT trigger your dark world monsters, it is meant to be summoned with IP in your opps turn to discard Bigfoot for a shuffle, pop and draw. Vampire is there to deck out your opp when Maxx C is in play or when you steal a dark monster and use it's secret effect to only use 1 lvl 8 monster

This list is not perfect but it was good enough, some observations:

Sometimes I summoned Curious to pitch Zephyros, but it usually doesnt come up
Never back-down when opp activates Maxx C, you can easily deck them out even through multiple handtraps they end up drawing (watch replays to see yourself, we don't talk about Droll & Lock Bird or Shifter tho)
If you go second you better hope your opp doesnt have a crazy endboard, having ZERO handtraps makes you pretty much defenseless, but you can still play through a lot of endboards with Grapha and Talents + the average duelist doesnt know how to stop Dark World from popping off
