Notes & Combos
The basic idea is that board-wipes are great in a format where there are much fewer omni-negates and S/T negates. In playing my previous deck, I found that being forced to go second was awful when zeus and accesscode are banned. So I switched to something built specifically to go second. Evenly matched is especially nice, and can be accessed through thrust too. Out of the decks in this event that can choose to always go second, while still being compatible with evenly, mekk knights seemed like the most fun.
I started out trying it as a scuffed 8-axis with dangers, but later added invoked instead. A mekk knight variant with different 8-axis cards might still work, even with numeron dragon banned, but I don't have the URs to try it. I like invoked over pure mekks for the bigger variety in plays, and forming your own columns was actually important. This combo is already in the mekk knight guide of this site.
Wins in the streak were vs: blackwing, swordsoul, megalith, dragonmaid, and time thief. Streak was ended by: a stun player who opened jowgen to stop special summons and 3 counter traps.
