Notes & Combos

The Gishki engine is pretty solid. Being able to turbo out 3 monster negates is really strong going first against all the loaners. The deck is weak to blowout cards. Terrortop into Totem Bird can help with that. Going second you just want to use Evenly/Book of Eclipse, then use Nekromirror to Kaiju their remaining monster, usually Ice Mountain. Grimness on summon effect is the only hard opt. Every other Gishki card you will use 2-3 times per turn. Grimness also locks you into Ritual attacks only. Therefore, the ability to otk is a weakness. Egyptian God Slime is nice because it gives all your other monsters targeting protection. Guardian Slime is also a lv 10, so it fulfills the requirements for Neremanas. Harpooner can summon it, Neremanas/Anemone can then reborn it to summon EGS. The Armored XYZ stuff typically isn't ideal to summon, it's usually just pot fodder. I think Totem Bird is just better. I flirted around with everything in the side, but decided against it for one reason or another. Main is too tight, too many normals, bricky hands, couldn't afford the discard, ect. The Spright engine is deffinitly the best way to play Gishki, so much so I may revisit it in ranked.
