Notes & Combos
Some quick notes about this deck:
Going first this deck is basically unstoppable, with most interaction targeting, the majespecters (aside from Nue, I'll get to that) have the unique advantage of being mostly immune to negation. Cards like imperm and mourner mostly pass the deck by, not by choice mind you.
This deck can also put out an incredible end board, with just terrortop and bunbuku you can make an end board consisting of:
Nue, Dinoster power, Ryu, Kirin, Totem Bird/Gossip Shadow/Cicada King, Porcupine in hand, 2 of the majespeter spell/traps, and a field spell of choice (Pegasus for extension, A legendary ocean to mess with water decks). This board is incredibly difficult for the other decks to work through without a card like evenly, especially if they don't read Dinoster power and try to crash into your pendulums.
Going second the deck can struggle a bit but with the portection on the majespecters this is not the largest issue.
To explain the techs:
- A legendary Ocean: This card is exclusively for the water deck match up, decks like shark, ice barrier, and the many other water synchro decks struggle into it since the levels will no longer match up, which can throw combo lines off. The boost also makes Dinoster Power harder to destroy in battle.
- Cicaida King, Gossip Shadow, and Totem Bird: With the small speedroid package you are given easy rank 3 access and the rank 3's included can help with some minor issues, most importantly Totem bird being a negate for evenly/imperm, which can help either protect your board from the opponents crack back, or help nue go through. The other 2 come up a lot less but are good options to help sometimes break boards.
Weaknesses:
Nue: This card is the biggest imperm magnet the deck has since it lacks the protection the other mejespecters have, it is almost impossible for the opponent to miss this as well if they are on auto chain so they will almost never miss the chance.
Board Clogging: The board is very easy to clog if you don't manage your zones so be careful with what you tribute/link/use as material.
Evenly: Without Totem Bird the deck lacks a spell/trap negate so evenly can easily rip the board apart, if possible try to keep kirin on board as with the normal combo you will have porcupine in hand as a free material to bounce with.
Overall the deck is incredibly strong in this event and really only struggles when going second into ice barrier without a card like evenly to remove the end board.
