Notes & Combos

While testing Ursarctic lists I also tried out Sharks with an Ice Barrier/Jade engine and got a 7 winstreak with it.

The gameplan is similar to regular shark lists but before using your Xyz locking effects (Buzzsaw, Lantern etc.) you can use Aegirine to bring out Lancea, who sets up Raiho after the opponent special summons. Lancea can float into Trish Zero, who can banish 3 upon summon and summon regular Trish if you want to play that as well. You can run more ice barrier main deck monsters if you want to use Lancea for a 2nd time, and if you do I would recommend either Georgius to GY lock or Warlock to spell lock.

Another new tool that we have is Fishborg Harpooner, which can help get your starters out without using a normal. Since Harpooner is a fish monster, you can not only summon him with Remora's effect, you can also search him with Abyss Shark. He's also a tuner, which could open up other plays for synchros such as Dragite, Graydle Dragon or White Aura Whale.

I personally found Dream Shark more useful in this list compared to Crystal Shark, since Crystal has an Xyz lock attached to it and I never really missed it's graveyard summon.
