Notes & Combos
πSynchro Fish!π
This is an insanely fun deck, my favorite since its TCG introduction, so reaching DLvL. Max made me very happy. Nothing feels better than slapping down Ghoti of the Deep Beyond like you are a Anime Protagonist.
I tried running a version of the deck that didn't include any floodgates or heavy going second cards, but after losing repeatedly to either Tearlament popping off or Floodgate Stun, I decided to include Evenly and Shifter.
Starters
Gamma plays really well with this deck thanks to its synergy with Beautunaful AND Ghoti of the Deep Beyond. Duskwalker, Beautunaful and Leaffish are all fantastic starters.
If you draw a Paces alongside them you can either: Normal Summon Paces -> Banish Paces to SS Beautunaful -> Banish Beautunaful to SS Leaffish (Send Shif off of Leaffish)
Or
Special Summon Supay, Duskwalker -> Make Arionpos (Send anything you need, most of the time Shif or a Snopios if you already got a fish in the grave) -> Normal Summon Paces -> Make either Crystal Wing if you fear Nibiru or Accelsynchro if you don't.
Resource Loop
Snopios and Zep create a crazy resource loop, having Zep in the grave and Snopios in your hand is optimal in keeping access to a Level 8 or 10 at any point of your opponents turn. If you can do not banish them twice, they will be lost forever. However if you have Snopios in Grave, Zep or Arionpos will be able to banish him out.
Surprise Tools
If you go for Baron with Accelsynchro, you can tag her out in the standby in case you already had to use the negate in the standby and summon back Stardust and make a Level 10 with one of your Tuners.
Croc is only really there to Synchro away the Dark Lvl7 Kaiju, which I saw on a few occasions. If you wanna cut something, start there.
Abyss Keeper outs both Scareclaw Tri-Heart and Bagooska (both came up surprisingly often).
Teaching Fish to Synchro Summon?!?
This deck is insanely fun and I recommend anyone to give it a try if they crave both the interaction between turns and the rush that Synchroing during your opponents turn gives. I am sorry that I can't go too in-depth on everything, this is the first time I am writing notes like this and I still can't believe I made DLvl.20 like this.
I would love working on a video for this deck in my free time, I think it has a lot of potential that we have not yet explored, tons of builds to play.
π May you never draw Supay or Shif + Leaffish π
