Notes & Combos

A late climb due to a busy week but I finally managed to get the winstreak to rank up. Overall most matchups seemed possible but ultimately decided by who opens better cards. This deck performs best going first but depending on your hand it's not entirely impossible going second. In this format it is important to have ways to play around Hand traps, whether it's to have some of your own or being able to extend your plays and not having your turn ended preemptively. The horus engine is mainly used to make zombie vampire in this deck as there are many targets that can extend your plays such as the sprights, fairies or any level 2 which can allow you to make elf into gigantic spright and search for diviner or sprights. Diviner has multiple targets but the best play is to make masterflare through trias combo and after you have established your board leave an elf for the following turn. During the opponent's turn send eva to search for your heralds to protect your board and have extra hand Traps to rely on. There's also mudora which helps in many matchups. The amount of level 2s in this deck makes sprights a viable strategy and has saved me many instances from disruption, allowing me to go into gigantic spright and continue with the combo. Having a high card count in the deck makes it highly unlikely to run garnets such as shine *****, Hapi, buten, or multiples of a card. I decided to keep king sarcophagus at 3 because it is less susceptible to disruption and there have been countless times when I've opened Eva and I'm able to get a free search off of it. Eva at 2 is great for this reason and also makes milling it with vampire more consistent. Small world has many bridges and routes and in most cases can jump between engines to find the specific starter or extender favorable for each situation and recover from disruption. There are also many bridges to Droll and lock bird in case of maxx c. This deck has been very consistent for me and very resilient against many strategies. The worst matchups are stun and control decks.
