Notes & Combos

Deckbuilding notes post-Camellia. Newer player, take with grain of salt. Blind 2nd.

Cam

GOAT. Dump twice on T2 = EZ 3 spells in GY. Can also dump T1 sometimes.

Cyanos

Great to make Cam. For better going-1st game, can play more copies of Cyanos (& more handtraps over boardbreakers).

NS Cyanos with no way to get 2nd body = very risky if negated; always SS it if you have something else to NS (e.g. a handtrap). Not a fan of Linkuriboh/Anima to unclog the MMZ; in rare cases where this came up, I was dead anyway. TY-PHON will be a great recovery option.

Temperance

Nice boardbreaker under Cyanos lock, but not yet convinced to run this over Zeke and/or Azalea which are interchangeable with it if you don't run Spectra (which sucks).

(L2 = Cam/Azalea/Zeke): SS L2 → eff → Cyanos GY eff SS Roze → SS L2/Temperance/Engage Zero

Engage Zero

Still learning how best to use. Its restrictions make its applications very niche.

If you Linkage into Engage Zero, itself on the field counts as a Light SS Ace, so it gets the 1000 ATK bonus with just Raye/Azalea/Cam in GY.

Toon package

Much better since it can now be used to make not just Azalea, but also Cam. As before, it dumps 3 spells and can remove an opponent's EMZ monster.

You can make Cam, Engage Zero, or Azalea with 4 easy spells in GY: 3 Tables (+ 1 spell for Azalea) → SS CyDra (→ optionally SS Megafleet in EMZ) → NS Raye/Roze/Cyanos/Veiler/Ogre (or other handtraps for Cam) (or use H.Drones for Azalea/Engage Zero if you SS'd Megafleet) → SS Cam/Azalea/Engage Zero

Note: you can still contact fusion if CyDra gets changed to face-down position.

S:P

S:P's banish often comes up (great backrow removal option), then you can end on her (good interruption in simplified game state), linkage her away, or link her off into a L2/Temperance if you can get the 2nd body.

Finding Extra Deck room

Post-testing, I'm convinced that Hayate to 1 and Shizuku to 2 is worth it. If really lacking a monster to end on after using up Shizuku, consider S:P, Dharc (searches Raye when destroyed), Cam (very niche, sends an opponent's monster when she herself is sent except on the turn she was summoned, but then gives a free Link 2 to the opponent). Or simply leave whatever else in the EMZ.

Azalea might not be worth playing without Toon package. If not playing Azalea, can remove Dharc or swap him for another charmer.

When TY-PHON comes to MD, I'll remove Temperance or Engage Zero to make room for it.
