Valmonica's a control deck uses spells that take and give LP to give you counters on your pendulum scales. These fulfill the requirements to trigger powerful card effects and allow you to summon your boss monsters. You have amazing grind game as long as you upkeep scales. Warning: this deck was played in the WCQ and does not compltely reflect ranked ladder.

The typical endboard will be Zebufera, which is a Quick Effect copy of any Valmonia S/T in GY or Banished and Bagooska, which negates all activated effects on the field (thats aren't link monsters).

The biggest downfall of this deck is that it is reliant on the scales to summon monsters as extenders and to gain counters to access the boss monsters.

I played 10 handtraps, which I drew more than enough of and maxed out on anti-handtrap cards as the deck can more or less die to a single well-timed hand trap.

I added Harpie's Feather Duster and 2 Cosmic Cyclones due to the large amount of bias towards Hours Stun and other stun variants for WCQ. Most of my match-ups tended to be Horus-Stun, Kashtira, Tearlament, or Snake-Eyes FireKing/Rescue-Ace.

To pilot this deck, your main goal when starting is to get to your scales as without any scales, you are unable to extend and your opponent gets to choose the which effects your Spells use (heal or dmg). So even if you have Scelta as a searcher, without a scale, your opponent will make you draw 2, shuffle 1 all the time.

Your next focus is that if you're going first, you need to be stacking at least 3 counters on your Dimonno (hurt) to summon Zebufera, have 3 monsters on board, and have one of the traps in the GY or have one on field as well. You will then go into Bagooska with 2 and Zebufera with 1.

Here are your important cards to know:

Field Spell: Agathokakological Voice This card searches a Vaal monster and can ****** steal an opponent's monster. It's unlikely that you will be able to ****** steal going 1st, but going 2nd, this will help you break boards prior to setting up 3 counters on your Angello scale (heal).

Selettrice Vaal This is your Stratos of the deck, which searches ANY Vaalmonica card. This also will go back to your hand if you have 2 Vaal scales. This is your grind game.

Bagooska. Negates your enemy's plays. Your opponent will use a large amount of resources to out this card usually. A commonn out to this card is S:P Little Knight. I typically like to have Followed Rhythm usable to bounce whatever ED monster they have to use.
