I've had decent luck with the crusadia from last time, you can find it if you search for the top decks article from last year. You just have to swap out the kaijus for other board breakers.

I don't know where you only count 31 but well...\nAs of now there are 175 decks spread across 78 archetypes.\nI can safely assign 46 of them to solo mode (~60%), which is also reflected in the total number of decks. At this point, 100 (57%) are out of solo mode.

I am not asking for powerful decks to be banned. I asked for the non-solo mode decks to forbidden in this event because they don't fit the criteria. I don't whine about the meta.

As of now there are 175 decks spread across 78 archetypes. I can safely assign 46 of them to solo mode (~60%), which is also reflected in the total number of decks. At this point, 100 (57%) are out of solo mode.

I checked the first 15 "top decks" for Legend Anthology and only two of them didn't fit the theme. Honestly, so many archetypes are used by the anime characters and you could even argue stuff like Runick is used by the legendary Duelist Joshua Schmidt and so on, a ton of decks fit that theme without even trying. I'll take your word when it comes to the complete count, but just for comparison, out of the first 15 decks here, 4 are related to solo mode.

If we want to stick with your sample of 15 decks. 3 (Plunder/Kozmo/Gunkan) decks definitely didn't appear in the anime. With 3 other decks (Archfiend, Cyberse Pile, Umi Control) it is debatable whether they should be considered anime decks. So even then, decks that don't have much to do with the event have a chance of being played

Every VW card worth playing has been banned plus they don't have access to Adventure/P.U.N.K/Scythe/Baronne and every good non Solo archtye 3, 6, 9 extra deck monster. l Rescue Ace is already bad enough without Emergence, so no Turbo or Hydrant, and the deck is basically a worse version Traptrix. Gold Pride is kind of a bad deck already, and with no P.U.N.K.

Most of the Generically good cards that are not in solo mode was hit, so while yes you could play a full Infernity or Wind-Up core, you have very few negates worth going into.

An event supposedly featuring decks from the solo mode, where most of the decks featured there are unplayable. They banned cards like the dark magicians and magician's circle. So it seems it's an event featuring specific decks from the solo mode. Decks that Konami specifically wants you to play. At least that's what I gathered from the ban list. I get banning cards like Baronne and other cards like it, but to ban cards like The Dark Magician's just seems silly to me.
