Notes & Combos
Right, so somehow i managaed to win 5 times in a row with this Crystal Beast deck. Many URs were sacrificed, don't play this deck unless you really love it. (I do, as a matter of fact)
I'd like to explain a few things about my build
-
Sphere Mode is essential. A real life-saver. In many instances the opponent surrendered as soon as I dropped my golden ball on his side of the field. Had they known what kind of deck I was running, they wouldn't have been so eager to surrender, but it did the trick. It's true that this deck is somewhat reliant on normal summoning Pegasus to establish a strong field, but thanks to cards like the Pots, handtraps and rainbow bridge of the heart that minimize the drawbacks of not being able to normal summon pegasus, playing Sphere Mode is less of an issue than a solution to "unbreakable boards"

The pots are there because, worst case scenario they serve as a bait for Ash Blossom. Should they resolve, that's great. Speaking of which, the reason I run three copies of both Bagooska and Dugares is because I was afraid that if i run a single copy of either of them they would banish after I pay Extravagance's cost
-
I don't run Ash Blossom because while it'd be certainly nice to stop cards such as Runick Fountain, more often than not she'd get her effects negated by Called by the Grave, Spright Red and so on. Meanwhile, Maxx "C" while it shares the same weaknesses as Ash, provides me with draw power and puts pressure on my opponent (unless i'm playing against BIRDS) and Infinite Impermanence is great both when going first or second.
-
I also run three copies of Crystal Bond and CB Rainbow Dragon because being able to xyz summon either Dugares or Bagooska (or even Abyss Dweller if my opponent is playing a 60 card deck) is crucial to improve my chances of winning. On the same note, running two copies of Rainbow Dragon increase the chances of being able to resolve CB Rainbow Dragon twice per duel AND provides decent fodder to resolve Dugares effect.
