Notes & Combos
This build is virtually identical to the last one I posted yesterday, except I got a 7 win streak with it in Master
Every hand trap choice was explained in that guide, except for a new addition called Iron Dragon Tiamaton. I was searching for additional Level 4 hand traps to make off of hop ear, and I am currently testing this out. Here are my reasons for why it may be a decent choice this format.
- Level 4 body that can be summoned on opponent's turn, Can combo with hop ear to make Silvera.
- Going first, you can easily set this up for the following turn by setting up an Exodia in the Extra Monster Zone, the set Exxod, and either a spare Millennium monster, your face-up azurune or setting a random monster, all in the same column.
- Alternatively, you may be able to surprise your opponent with this during their Fiendsmith, Snake-Eye, Blue-Eyes or Millennium combos, as all these decks link summon and place monsters/backrow face-up.
- You may also be able to get the last cards needed for the 3 column requirement by carefully timing a body (bystial, nib, fire attacker) during the opponent's combo
- In addition to popping cards, this guy can also lock your opponent's EMZ (if you summoned in your own EMZ) or lock a pend zone.
- The fact that it's not limited to the main phase may mean it can serve as an interruption during Tenpai's battle phase, but this would be very unlikely as they want to break your board before committing to their own bodies.
Unlike retaliating c, you cannot normal this guy, and it may be just as conditional if not moreso than retaliating C. However, given the fact that this card's requirement can easily be met if going first, it may be yet another powerful hand trap that can add onto the standard Unstoppable Exodia end board.
I am really liking the various hand traps and will continue to experiment with them in Millennium.
