Notes & Combos
I love my miko. So, the usual thing is to go second and kaiju the opponent, preferrably hitting omni-negates and such, use your search spells to get any of the many ways to get out a Mikanko with an equip card and the double-edged sword to equip to the kaiju and punch it for game (your game).
That's the standard OTK but you can also OTK on open field if you can get Ohime, Ceremony, Mayowashidori and another Mikanko and a way to special summon her as well as the double-edged sword, by equipping the sword to the regular one, equipping Mayowashidori to Ohime and hitting, then using Mayowashidori damage step effect to bounce the other Mikanko, having the sword hit the graveyard and use Ohime's effect to equip it onto herself and hit with her for game. If the opponent is just passing turns, this is consistent on turn 4 if you got Rivalry on turn 2 as it can just equip the sword from deck.
If you can't OTK then you pivot to control where you try to summon Hu-Li equipped with Mayowashidori and get Rivalry with her to set it, a surprising amount of even meta decks have no out to untargetable cards that also can't be punched over and you're likely to get another turn until you can either go for max damage with the sword or just whittle them down with multiple smaller hits. Even if they can out that, if they can't OTK you back, having both her and the equip in the graveyard makes it so you can just bring her back on your next turn and go back to the usual.
Field spell can be replaced or even just removed, I like to have it for fun mostly and tho it did come in handy a few times, it's not critical.
The reason I have the variety in kaijus is because you only need the opponent monster to have 2K ATK minimum in order to be able to OTK with double-edged sword and all of them are above that and can be used to out those stupid statues which aren't that common but it's still nice to have, as well as they mostly can't be used for bystials which is also pretty sweet. You can just go with a full complement of the 3300 kaijus instead if you would prefer, tho.
Extra deck is mostly Extrav fodder, but I have gone into Zeus multiple times as a board clear can be very useful if you fail the OTK and the opponent isn't letting up, my Labrynth replay is a good example of how useful it is and also an example of a simple line to get to a 2 activation Zeus from an empty field and hand. But for the most part I almost never went into any of the links.
Replays
ID: 393-802-173
- Purrely (probably the best game I have had yet)
- Labrynth
Not many replays but enough to show it off as they are great games and I don't want to remove any of the older replays.
