Notes & Combos

Hold up. Might've taken advantage of the early format, but here's an interesting mix. Melffy don't have all their cards yet, so I wanted to play it in this format. I also wanted to play Ghostricks but couldn't really get a control list working so I thought probably to stop the 4 XYZ and higher Neko could work in this format as well. Would not make this deck, it is very disruptable.

Spright having all these summons lets you get into Melffy of the Forest, or Socuteboss. Socuteboss into Angel gets you into UDF. Melffy of the Forest can let you search Puppy, and he summons himself in the endphase, so you have a kinda weak disruption in Kalantossa. If you already have the Melffy cards searched already I put in playhouse which can return a card back if you search if from Melffy of the Forest as another disruption.

If you can start with Starter and make Socuteboss or another Ghostrick, you can have Neko out via Gigantic Spright. This does need 4 summons, which can happen with a ridiculous hand. In this format, getting Neko out with another Ghostrick up can stop any XYZ (if they're level 4 or higher ie:Zoodiac) unless she gets negated or destroyed. Neko can be summoned from Gigantic Spright. Ghostrick Shot can recover her from the grave or provide the extra body to keep the effect live.

Still trying to pull the other copies of Blue, I would cut the Catty for one and maybe Ghostrick Witch. I did try out a Ghostrick or Treat, as another search target but it was kind of underwhelming. I would also cut the Mansion, since it doesn't come up very often. Setting with Witch to get over a monster can happen though. I used to have 2 Gbostrick Dolls, she can set Flying C with her effect, but I've only pulled it off once so I brought it back to 1 so the Melffy/Smashers would be live. Fairy has her own disruption, if you have Shot or a GT in the grave and they punch into her you can set a card(s) if your opponent isn't familiar with it. I almost ran Scare for this exact reason, but figured Playhouse was also another way to stop XYZ and I needed a better negate than Ghostrick or Treat.

Spright Smashers has pretty good removal in this format as well, just send a Melffy, Spright or the rare Ghostrick to banish a card without targetting. Spright Gamma Burst can make your Melffy or Ghostricks to have respectable attack/def values. 3400 def Forest, 2800 Socuteboss and it can surprise some players with a bunch of Sprights on board.
