Notes & Combos
Out of all the festivals to use Nouvelles in, this is certainly one of them. I mean, Dyna Mondo is a link monster, that counts right? Yeah, playing Nouvelles this festival was a stretch. Nevertheless, I went 11-5 over the course of the event, which was better than expected.
To be fair, the deck has a conceptually good matchup in a format where roughly half the end bosses are always in attack position. Once again, the Nouvelles literacy check was a big factor, as it goes in festivals, where players seem overall less experienced.
Xyz/Link presents a few problems for the deck, the main one being no patissciel, and by extension no concours. You know, your best card? No arc light/n'tss for diviner, and no impcantations just adds salt to the wound.
That's not to say we have no options, however. Today's menu, pre-prep, and restaurant search basically everything we need, and diviner searches poissonere by sending trias.
Sanctuary/rites are nice in particular because they can flex, searching for a ritual monster/spell, or fodder in benten.
The list is certainly not optimized, I literally just took out the banned cards, then removed a few non-engine to compensate. I wanted to stay above 50 because bricking on blue is still an issue.
Extra is even lazier, add whatever you'd like. I really only went into dyna mondo, though there were a few games I climbed into borrelsword or goddess to out a towers like the raidraptor one.
As for some general notes/tips for piloting the deck:
- Sequencing is very important. Knowing which searchers to start with, which rituals to commit to, what to tribute, etc. It gives you a bunch of flexibility in how you approach boards and burn through interaction. You can play into way more than you'd think a deck like nouvelles might be able to.
- Dyna Mondo was very valuable. Having a spin on demand that also resets your rituals in GY is nice, and diviner and poissonere floating gives you a lot of material. Be mindful of which rituals you summon properly, though. You might want to hard summon a poeltis or confiras on your turn so you can summon back on your opponent's for the +1 or S/T pop.
- If you think your opponent is out of interaction, don't be afraid to just go battle and tribute the board. This deck can recur like crazy, and your opponent going into turn 3/4 with an empty board and a few cards in hand is a favourable position for a deck with a resettable counter trap

Result of the coin toss doesn't mean much, if I win I just let it pick randomly.
I didn't really go against any super meta decks, but the replays are a decent showcase of some of the quirks of the deck:
- Vs Salamangreat - I should have gone into glasya to remove balelynx the turn before resummoning confiras.
- Vs Raidraptor - Very funny interaction with raidraptor call
- Vs Sky Striker
