Notes & Combos
This deck is bad. Not having the fusions means that you are relying being able to search out non-vaylantz cards. Luckily, you can get by on just bodies.
The striker engine enables you to utilize a strong suite of power spells before committing to the vaylantz/pendulum package. This deck will lose to anti-spell. This deck will lose to a card being placed in the pend zone.
All of the negative aside, Here's some of the perks:
-
Striker cards are a net good, you only have to commit to your main board when you want to and getting spells in the grave is not difficult for vaylantz
-
Droplet sending monster isn't that big a deal with the existance of exceed the pendulum. Before this card, losing a monster to an attach or discard was world ending, but you can pend summon anything in this deck besides Dommy Duke.
-
Solfa engine allows us to move our pendulum cards without fear of negation and gives us a way to play through having to go first.
-
Worse case scenario, a Ty-Phon/Bagooska and backrow can get you out of most issues.
-
We don't run hand traps because we don't really care what our opponent is playing. Board breakers are way more effective since our goal is to out-resource our opponent
